THANKS FOR LISTENING:  High Adventures in Journalism and Diplomacy is the author’s remarkable story of her life and times as a military wife, journalist (one of the first women) and United States Ambassador to two countries simultaneously!  Pat Gates Lynch chronicles her life from a small town in Connecticut to her marriage to a West Point cadet (who later was assigned to the Manhattan Project) to her days as a broadcaster for a Washington, DC radio station, the Armed Forces Network, NBC, and Voice of America, to her appointment as Pat Nixon’s Press Secretary for radio and television to her days as a U.S. Ambassador (where she was one of only 10 female Ambassadors at the time). 

The story takes the reader on Pat’s journey through a star-studded list of characters throughout the world and from all areas of life including:  politics, the arts, the media, foreign and domestic dignitaries, and a host of state and military leaders.  It is truly a walk through modern history.
